The developers of New World want to merge individual servers. In a current forum contribution, a member of the developer team writes that the assemblies already on the horizon, but the function still needed additional test phases before they can be used for the live worlds. We can imagine you, we rather go more cautious after the first bumpy weeks, says the developer.
Players should keep an eye on the official news sections of New World (now €39.99): The developers promise that in the near future, there are more details on the server compositions. With the merges, the developers want to merge low-populated realms — your character is then transferred to another server home. Concrete info at the expiry is expected to follow soon.
To release New World at the end of September, the situation looked different: The player s tower was so huge that the developers had to turn to a lot of new servers. Parts were long queues before the servers with waiting times of a number of hours. How the number of players develop from New World and what that means is to learn in a separate article under the Link set. In the past week, the developers had published the New World Update 1.0.5 with several bug fixes and optimizations.
