The smashing of real markets has been a major topic in German retail for years. If a total of 58 branches in this country are continued under the old name due to the acquisition by the Family Office of Sven Tischendorfer by the Family Office of Sven Tischendorfer, four locations are now closed before the deadline on 1 July. This reports the "food newspaper".
The following branches are affected by the closures:
- Espelkamp (North Rhine-Westphalia)
- Wolfenbüttel (Lower Saxony)
- Saint-Augustin (North Rhine-Westphalia)
- Finowfurt (Brandenburg)
Real closes further locations - 54 branches are retained
In total, so far 47 real markets in Germany were closed. Twelve of this will go to a new operator after information of the LZ but after conversion and modernization. According to the current state, Tischendorf will continue the remaining 54 real sites under the usual flag from 1 July.
There is still any ambiguity in the delivery of the remaining real markets. REWE and the merger of several RTG members are currently the hottest candidates.
EDEKA has recently registered the acquisition of three other locations in Hagen, Nuremberg and Wuppertal. According to the current state, the supermarket chain already takes over 33 houses, which have either been integrated or in the coming months the EDEKA network increase. Competitor Kaufland has hitherto adopted 86 markets, with globe, it is 16th so far.
